OUR PROJECTS

Ecological Goat Farmers – Goats for Cleaning Abandoned Areas and Sustainable Livestock Products

Project goal

This project aims to use goats for cleaning and maintaining neglected, overgrown areas in abandoned villages. Goats are highly suitable for reducing dense vegetation and restoring land to a usable state. Additionally, the project offers the opportunity to produce sustainable livestock products such as goat cheese, milk, and baby food, using local resources and contributing to value creation.

Key structure of the project

Goat Herding:

  • A herd of goats will be formed, which will be regularly used in areas that need to be cleaned. The goats will be trained for efficient vegetation reduction and land stabilization.
Goat Milk Production:

  • After the herd is established, milk production will be organized to create high-quality products such as goat cheese and baby food. The process will focus on resource-efficient and hygienic processing.
Local Use:

  • The products will primarily be used locally to provide the community with healthy, natural food.
  • Revenues from the processing and use of the products will be directed toward the further development of the project.
Education:

  • Local workers and farmers will be trained in sustainable goat farming and goat milk processing, ensuring the long-term independence of the project.

A self-sustaining and expanding model

Land Maintenance:

  • Goats will be used as natural “ecological mowers” to reduce excessive vegetation in abandoned villages, preparing the land for reuse.
Sustainable Livestock Products:

  • The project enables the sustainable production of goat cheese, fresh goat milk, and baby food. These products will be used locally and contribute to healthy, natural nutrition.
Support for Agriculture:

  • Using goats for land maintenance and livestock product production will help strengthen local agriculture and create jobs in the region.
Sustainable Resource Use:

  • The project efficiently uses natural resources by promoting ecological farming and reducing reliance on mechanical or chemical methods for land maintenance.

Long-term vision

  • The project contributes to the restoration and revitalization of abandoned villages through the integration of sustainable agricultural models. By creating a symbiotic connection between livestock farming, landscape maintenance, and local product production, the project brings ecological and economic benefits to the local community.
