Project goal

This project aims to build a sustainable network of seed banks in Bosnia and beyond. The goal is to preserve traditional and rare seeds, promote biodiversity, and support agriculture in harmony with nature. The seed banks will serve as a key resource for sustainable agriculture, permaculture, and the revitalization of abandoned villages.

Collaboration with local farmers and organizations to identify and collect traditional seed varieties.
Creation of a database documenting the origin and characteristics of the seeds.

Establishing Seed Banks:

Construction and equipping of storage facilities suitable for the long-term preservation of seeds.
Ensuring optimal storage conditions, such as temperature and humidity control.

Education and Knowledge Sharing:

Organization of workshops and seminars on seed conservation and sustainable agriculture.

Distribution and Networking:

Building a network that shares seeds with other projects and villages.
