OUR PROJECTS

Self-sustaining food production through permaculture and agroforestry

Project goal

This project focuses on the development of self-sustaining food production systems using the principles of permaculture and agroforestry. The goal is to create models that provide healthy and organic food while restoring soil fertility, protecting biodiversity, and promoting harmony with nature.

Key structure of the project

Garden Construction:

  • Designing permaculture gardens with plant layers that support each other.
Using natural pesticides and fertilizers to avoid chemicals.
Agroforestry:

  • Combining trees, shrubs, and agricultural crops to increase land productivity.
  • Planting native species that contribute to soil and ecosystem health.
Seed Bank Development:

  • Collecting and preserving seeds of heirloom plant varieties to conserve genetic heritage.
  • Seed exchange between local communities to ensure crop diversity.
Community Support:

  • Organizing practical workshops and mentoring for the local population.
  • Connecting with local markets for the distribution of food surpluses.

A self-sustaining and expanding model

Soil Regeneration:

  • Regenerating degraded land through techniques such as composting, mulching, and crop rotation.
Self-sufficiency:

  • Producing food that meets the needs of local communities without relying on external resources.
Biodiversity:

  • Introducing diverse plant and animal species to create stable and productive ecosystems.
Education and Empowerment:

  • Providing practical knowledge about permaculture techniques, crop cultivation, and sustainable practices.

Long-term vision

  • The project aims to lay the foundation for sustainable food production that will serve as a model for other communities. By applying the principles of permaculture and agroforestry, we aim to contribute to the health of people, soil, and ecosystems, creating a sustainable future for all.
